Mahabharata

East meets West meets Perth. Old meets new. Poetry meets performance. Mahabharata is an epic tale of rivalry and humanity you’ve waited 4,000 years to hear. Experience this ancient Sanskrit poem about dynasties vying for control of a kingdom transformed into a once-in-a-generation theatrical experience.

Big Name, No Blankets

A Perth Festival commission.

Travel from the heart of the central desert to the bright lights of the big smoke in an epic rock ‘n’ roll theatre show. Before King Stingray, before the mighty Yothu Yindi, there was Warumpi Band. The band that took Aboriginal culture to the world.

with DJ PGZ and Boox Kid

Electric Fields

A night of First Nations music to get this Festival started right! Mesmerising electronic dance duo Electric Fields bring their high-octane sound that will have you up on your feet from the first note. You’ve seen them on the Eurovision Stage, now experience the brilliance of Electric Fields live on our Main Stage. This huge opening celebration also stars visionary Noongar electro pop beat creator Boox Kid and DJ PGZ.

A Night Out West

We’re closing out The Embassy with A Night Out West – and everyone’s invited. Join us for this celebratory ode to The Coolbaroo Club and its infamous ball, thrown back in 1955.

Crip Rave Theory

A club night outside the club. A disability-led party and a political statement – that the rave can be revolutionary when disabled knowledge is at its core. It’s a chance for partygoers to show up as their fullest selves, with a focus on community solidarity, crip knowledge, pleasure and expanding club culture.

CARCAÇA

Dance as rebellion and celebration. Ten performers electrify the stage, their sneakered footwork mixing with drums and electronic music to create a live soundtrack. Taking street dance, hip-hop battles and club culture as its base, CARCAÇA reclaims traditional European folk dances with an explosion of energy.
