Event and ticketing info
If you can make it to your event, we can exchange your ticket for another performance of the same event at the same price reserve or higher – $6 exchange fees will apply. If the same or higher price reserves are no longer available, we can exchange for a lower price reserve. If that happens we won't be able to refund any difference in price. Contact our box office team to discuss your exchange.
We don't offer any refunds as all ticket and voucher sales are final, per our Terms and Conditions.
We offer door sales at a limited number of performances. Check the event page or chat with our box office team ahead of time at (08) 6488 5555, [email protected] or via Webchat.
We are working with Tixel as our authorised ticket reselling agent. You can sign up at their site to receive notifications if tickets for the event you want are listed for resale.
For performances in a theatre, we recommend you arrive between 30 minutes and an hour before the show. If you are collecting tickets, please allow time to see the box office. The time on your ticket is when all patrons need to be seated.
For live music performances, your tickets will list the time the doors open. You can find set times on individual event pages.
Recording devices are generally not permitted to be used in theatre-style events.
We may be able to release more tickets closer to the event. However, this is not guaranteed. So, keep an eye out online or visit our official ticket reseller, Tixel to have the best chance to getting tickets.
Our See 3 + Save promotion has come to a close. We still want to give you the best access to discounted tickets, so our Festival Club membership now comes with up to 15% discount on 2 tickets to eligible events alongside a bunch of perks!

Promos, Vouchers and Gift Certificates
Perth Festival Gift Certificates are the perfect treat for family and friends. They can be applied to any event across the whole program! Gift Certificates are valid only for the season in which they are purchased. All Perth Festival 2025 Gift Certificates expire on 6 April 2025.
Perth Festival Gift Certificates can be purchased online. Gift Certificates can be printed in ticket-style format if required. Please contact [email protected] to request these. Postage fees will apply.
Gift Certificates can be used for purchases through Perth Festival sales channels, via our website, by phone, email or Webchat and at Perth Festival Box Offices. They cannot be used on third party websites such as Arts and Culture Trust, Ticketek or Ticketmaster.
Gift Certificates are not exchangeable for cash, including any unused value remaining at the end of the 2025 Festival Season.
Lotterywest Films
The Box Office will be open from 5.30pm on the evenings of film sessions.
Film voucher packs are pre-purchased in packs of 6 or 12 for a discounted price.
Voucher packs will be issued as tickets to your email. You can track how many you have remaining after logging into your account online, under 'Upcoming Events'. Vouchers may also be printed and posted for an additional fee by contacting our box office team.
Film vouchers are valid for any Lotterywest Films session and expire 6 Apr 2025, at the conclusion of the 2025 Lotterywest season.
Once a film voucher has been converted into a Lotterywest Films session, and ticket(s) have been issued, the voucher expires and cannot be retrieved. If you are unable to attend the screening date for your issued ticket(s), refer to our section on exchanges and refunds.
Film vouchers are not refundable, including any unused vouchers remaining at the end of the 2025 Festival Season.
You can redeem your tickets for a specific session before the night. To do this simply contact our friendly box office team via WebChat, email or phone up until 12pm the day of the session you’d like to attend, or 12pm on Saturday for weekend films. Your tickets will be issued by 4pm the same day.
Please provide the following information:
- Date and title of the film you wish to attend
- Number of tickets you wish to book with your vouchers
- Seat or ticket numbers printed on your film vouchers
We’ll convert your voucher to a ticket for a film of your choice, subject to availability.
You can still redeem vouchers at the door. This is, however, subject to capacity. We strongly recommend redeeming your vouchers in advance to avoid missing out on the film you want to see. We will communicate availability via our social channels.
You can buy these tickets in advance - not just at the door on the night.
If purchasing online, select the Two for One Tuesdays price, in multiples of two, to receive the discounted price.
Order a delicious pizza from Charlies or another tasty treat, if pizza is not your thing. You can even pre-order so it’s ready and waiting for you.
You can also pack your own spread and be as gourmet as you like – or not! Bring your own booze or buy a drink from the bar.
It can get busy, so BYO picnic blanket in case all the tables are taken.
Charlies Pizza pre-order information
Charlies Pizza is the food provider for Somerville Auditorium during the Lotterywest Films season. Pizzas are available 7 nights a week from Mon 25 Nov 2024 – Sun 6 April 2025.
Online ordering is the only way to pre-order. Charlies Pizza do not accept phone or text orders. You can order at the counter on the night but may incur long wait times for pizza on very busy nights. Online orders close at 5pm for same day pickup, or earlier if fully booked.
You can pre-order online here.
Please note when ordering, you must select a pickup time from the drop-down time box in the shopping cart and click 'Change to Later'. If you do not select a pickup time, you will automatically be allocated the earliest time available. You will receive a confirmation text/email for all successfully placed online orders. No confirmation means your order did not process. Your order may be ready 10 minutes either side of your selected time. You will be notified when your order is ready.
While you are permitted to bring your own chairs, you will be required to sit at the back of the venue behind the existing seating.
There are many deckchairs with cushions as well as bean bags to choose from, thanks to our wonderful supporter Lotterywest. We do encourage you to bring your own comfort items (such as extra pillows) just in case, as well as a blanket or jacket as the nights get cooler after the sun has set.
Anyone who attends a film screening that is cancelled will be automatically refunded to their original payment method. If you do not have access to that payment method, please contact [email protected] with your order number.
If your tickets were a gift, the refund will be returned to the original purchaser.
Writer's Weekend
Writers Weekend is not returning in the Perth Festival 2025 program to create space for a new dedicated literature event. Hosting this new festival will offer something special and unique for WA audiences, promoting Perth as a literary hub destination to the world. The Festival team are seeking literary sector and community input in creating this special event, set to debut in 2026.
Children at the Festival
Yes of course! Check out our 'Family' event type when filtering on The Program page. Please note some events have recommended age restrictions, which are published on the event page. Some events are strictly 18+ for licensing reasons.
We do! Some events that are not specified as 18+ allow children under 2 years of age to be seated on their own parents' or guardian's lap for the duration of the event. The policy may differ depending on the venue of your chosen performance. Check event pages for details. If you would like your youngster to have their own seat, you will need to purchase a ticket for them.
All venues that provide under 18 admissions will have parenting facilities available. Outdoor venues may have similar facilities. Check the event page for further information.
The ushers at Arts and Culture Trust theatre venues can give your little one a booster seat to borrow for the show.
