About

Why do we swim?

Part speaker’s corner, part stream of consciousness and part campaign for greater awareness, the Swimmers’ Manifesto attempts to put into words the profound experience that swimming and water offer each and every one of us. Help us make a public manifesto on the beaches of WA, and join us for a mass swim in the sea immediately afterwards.

Register to participate in this event. Speakers are given 5 minutes each to have their say.

Free to attend
Drop in anytime or stay all morning. Please bring a towel or a picnic blanket to rest on.
Excerpts from the Swimmers’ Manifesto will be published at a later date.

The Swimmers’ Manifesto is part of a series of events celebrating Museum of Water, a mobile collection of publicly donated water and accompanying stories accumulating over two years in different sites across WA. Museum of Water is an invitation to ponder our precious liquid and how we use it.
