The Perth International Arts Festival relies on attracting the very best staff and artists from around the world each year.

We employ more than 100 staff and contract even more individual artists and companies annually. Our staff members may be permanent or may be employed on a part-time, casual or contract basis. We regularly support work experience, secondment and volunteer work opportunities. Our artists and artistic companies may be contracted for a single event, a season, a programme, or they may even be commissioned to produce new work for presentation at the Festival.

Bookkeeper

Perth International Arts Festival is seeking a MYOB experienced bookkeeper to prepare payroll and associated statutory requirements, accounts payable and receivable and other duties as required. Applications and enquires to Karen Macdonald on 6488 8622 or kmacdonald@perthfestival.com.au

Publications Editor

The Publications Editor will manage the production of Festival publications, including the website, pocket guides, Perth Writers Festival brochure and event programs. Working with the Marketing and Audience Development Manager and Artistic Director and liaising with other Festival departments and external companies, you will be responsible for ensuring all publications clearly, accurately and compellingly communicate the identity and programs of the 2009 Festival to its audiences.

To be successful in this role you will need project management experience; excellent written and verbal communication skills; editing and proofreading experience and be able to work independently to meet tight deadlines. This is your opportunity to use your copywriting and editing skills in an exciting and vibrant industry.

Period of employment: 13 October 2008 to March 2009
Salary: Level 5/6, $50,197-$62,546 pro rata plus superannuation
